A Smart Decision Support Framework for Sustainable and Resilient Supplier Selection and Order Allocation in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Supplier selection and order allocation (SS-OA) are two of the most important strategic decisions for supply chain network design operation. If sustainability resilience criteria taken into consideration together a holistic sustainable resilient SS-OA is carried out, it may enable to perform better when subjected disruption scenarios. In this research paper, novel comprehensive multi-phase, multi-period sustainable, decision support framework has been proposed. This integrates fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques with multi-objective mixed integer nonlinear programming (MOMINLP) mathematical model optimize triple bottom line (TBL) simultaneously multi-modal, multi-echelon network. The proposed implemented using real-time data collected from pharmaceutical industry. results show that among TBL criteria, product price, past business, innovative capability, information disclosure rank as significant sub-criteria DMs in industry, while robustness flexibility considered valued attributes potential suppliers far criterion concerned. An assessment revealed transfer cost custom clearance comprise more than two-thirds overall It also noted inland transportation goods dominated by rail preferred mode transport. Transportation particularly located geographically contiguous countries.
